The Road to Homeownership
We are here to help you along your road to homeownership. Our clients have stated over and over again that we are gifted in matching the right home to the right family. This is how we do it –
Pre-Approval
Please get a pre-approval letter from your lender of choice. We have recommendations if you need them!
Create an account
Register on our website to get maximum benefits of our service. You can enter your own search criteria and get immediate notification when a new home comes on the market that may be the right home for you.
Property Search Criteria
Your agent will set up a search via ConnectMLS with the most current information about homes on the market in real time. Feel free to check “interested, maybe, not interested” as we get to know what kind of home is the right property for you.
First Appointment
On the phone or in person meeting to get to know one another and confirm this will be a good working relationship for all. We will set up a time table of viewing homes and discuss the home buying process, as well as how our team operates. Email our Office Manager any home you’d be interested in seeing. Confirm your preferred communication style – email, phone or text.
Following Appointments
We will show you the best homes that meet your criteria. When we find the home you’d like to purchase, we’ll have a second showing – we’ll bring the paperwork, you bring your checkbook!
Make an offer
Make an offer to purchase and submit earnest money check upon acceptance. Choose a real estate attorney. We have recommendations if you need them.
Home Inspection
Perform due diligence by having a home inspection within the first five business days after the seller has signed the contract. We recommend including a radon test for health and safety issues.
Final Stage
Final stage is lender’s confirmation of home’s value and legal status and your credit-worthiness. We will keep you up-to-date on the appraisal, survey and title. Your responsibility is to get all documentation in place for your lender, obtain certified funds for closing (your attorney will give you final numbers). We will keep in contact with you throughout the process.
Closing Day
On Closing Day, we will conduct a final walk-through and meet you at the assigned Title Company to complete the transaction (with the guidance of your attorney and agent). Congratulations, you’ve purchased a home!
